The Fear of God

My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; he guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints.  Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
Proverbs 2:1-9

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
James 1:5-6

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.  The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.  His delight is the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears; but with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth.
Isaiah 11:1-4

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
Isaiah 26:3-4

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7

...incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding...then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:2,3,5

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding...
Proverbs 2:6

Amen!  Love to you all...

Scripture Encouragment

I have called you by your name; you are Mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you, when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you.  Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.  “You are My witnesses,”  says the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.  I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior.

Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?  I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, Your King.  Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old, behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?  I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.  Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God.

Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning?  I, the Lord, am the first; and with the last I am He.  Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’  That they may see and know, and consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, and the Holy one of Israel has created it.

The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary, His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

“You are Mine,” says the Lord.
